Young Reporters - Our Minds Matter!
The COVID-19 virus, microscopic in size, monumental in impact. Lockdown may be over, but there is still a global pandemic going on. A mental health crisis has been declared and the youth is at its centre. Around 20% of the world's children and adolescents have a mental health condition, with suicide the second leading cause of death among 15-29-year-olds. My schoolmates, my friends, my sister, myself: we are all battling mental illnesses. The world needs to know: our minds matter.
