The reason I say novel specifically is because Mark Haddon’s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time has also been adapted to the stage and the play itself has won numerous accolades. Now before you go any further, I would like to warn you that this novel is not for the weak-willed. In fact, the book can be found to be rather depressing and can pull at the heartstrings of many. It must also be mentioned that the novel is not absent from swearing. If you are still reading on, then I can assure you this book is a real page-turner.
