It was the technology that was supposed to deliver high speed internet services direct to our mobile phones, to allow movies to be downloaded instantly, straight to our devices, to provide uninterrupted listening to music streaming services and allow users access to constantly updating social media services. But three years into the ten-year plan to roll out 5G, customers in the UK are distinctly underwhelmed by the benefits it has so far brought them.
